?Hello!

I thing this can be a good hack

"I want to have the same "Show threads from:" that i have in every forum, in the index.php

People then can see threads from:

NEWEST
TODAY
YESTERDAY
TWO DAYS AGO
FIVE DAY AGO

I thing this can be done with getnew:
http://www.rocaeterna.com/foros/sear...line=970760380

Now if some of you can explain me the date format or how works: dosearch&searchdateline=XXXXXX may this can work

I thing there is no problem with the NEW THREADS, because is here, maybe i need to compare the system date to make the other options, or maybe there is some way built in the forum that i can use.

Thanks for the help.

?Hello!

I find this site, and its free: http://www.speaksforitself.com

I implement the program with my vB forum:
http://www.rocaeterna.com/foros/index.php

You can listen the program in every thread like this: http://www.rocaeterna.com/foros/show...php?threadid=6

Im having some problem with the program, some are:

1. Dont work with Netscape.
I send email to this people and here is the answer:

Quote:
There objects you refer to Speak are for IE only.
You have to find a way to pass the text directly to the Speak function.
Maybe to import it from the database, or where you save the messages.
With Internet Explorer im having the following problems:
1. IE freeze
2. IE crash

But, this happens if i go to other page, and dont stop the speech, and when i press the stop button and go to other page.

I think this can be solved.

I see the print option on every thread, i dont know php or mysql, so i ask if some of you, or maybe the staff of vB can make something; maybe an implementation like the print script to access the data from the database, and then IE and Netscape users can LISTEN the threads.

What you thing?

The problem right now, is the following:

1. You have tu paste in every page you want to have the script, one logo.

2. All user dont have sound, then they dont need the controls of the script (pause, resume, stop, repeat) and the logo of the script in every thread.

3. People maybe want to read only and dont listen, but every time they open the thread, the script start the speeach

Then if some user want to hear the speech, can select the speech option.

I thing this can be a great script for all vB owners and one new feature to make happy our users one more time.

Thanks
