I'm thinking on working on a new site and forum combo pretty soon, which will mean getting another vBulletin licence, and getting to grips more with my php and mysql, probibly one of those massive community places or an anime site, but i'm not too sure about hosting, since it can be very expensive for something of that size, what would you recomend going with and at what price???

another thing i was looking for though (forgot to mention it), was how much do you think this would all cost me, for say a forum with around 50 active members for example

With 50 active members you can go with virtual/shared hosting. About $50 a month, probably less.

You probably don't need dedicated with 50 active members. It's really only if you have 150 to 200 that you start having trouble.
