Importing XMB 1.6 to VB
Greetings all... I have just purchased VB and have got to the point where I want to import the data from the XMB we were using previously. I get to step 2, then this error appears:
Database error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.2.8: Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS count FROM svtowner_xmb1.xmb_members mysql error: select command denied to user: 'svtowner_root@localhost' for table 'xmb_members' mysql error number: 1142 Can anyone provide insight or guidance that may assist me in completing this task? I'd greatly appreciate any help! |

Thanks for the reply- but I did get an email from VB support and they informed me that the error was user permissions for the XMB database. I enabled the VB username to access the XMB databse and the import worked great!!
Thanks again... |

This importer should be included with your download of VB. There should be an IMPORTERS folder.
be SURE to delete the import script file after you run the import! As I indicated in my post, you also have to make sure the two databases have a common user, or the import will not execute... VB rocks!!!!! |
