I have done numerous searches but still havent't found anything like this.

Is there a chat hack like the one on my old phpBB board at http://www.modernengineuity.com/for/ ? (you have to register to try it out) Note: this board is not in use anymore

It was a very easy java script. It opens in a pop-up window and you have to be logged in to chat.

There are many chat hacks around the place

Do a search in the hacks database for "Chat" and you'll get serveral options turn up
