Full size thread notes
Just thought of an idea of something which may or may not be useful.
I've often wanted to be able to put comments on a thread for moderators to be able to see them, but hidden posts aren't always obvious and the small space for thread notes isn't enough. Whats really needed is space which you can write as much as you want. However storing this as a field in the thread table would take up a huge amount of space. What I thought of was that if a moderator wanted to make a comment on a thread they could write whatever they want and then when it's submitted it is stored in the post table like all the rest, probably somehow flagged as a comment rather than a proper post. And then the contents of it will appear somewhere in showthread when a moderator looks at that thread. Just an idea |

Yes indeed. You can create another table where all thread note entries will go. Make it text or whatever larger as you need it. Then all you need is a viewer of notes page and a replier.
