Quick Topic Form Page
No, I'm not talking about the existing hack that shows a quick topic form at the bottom of the forumdisplay page ...
I am talking about a separate page that uses the newtopic template, but instead has a dropdown list of forums that you want that particular post to go to. There are a lot of forum newbies who become intimidated/confused about how to create new topics, so why not present them a page where they can ask their question and then they can choose which forum it goes to right from the get-go, instead of having them click on the forum home, then click on the forumdisplay, THEN create the new topic... It saves time and makes posting new topics in a support-related forum more intuitive. The page itself should look like a typical "Add new Topic" page, with the exception of the dropdown list containing the forum choices, as well as some additional options. It would be great if it was template driven. This would be a great addition to any support forum and saves the user some time in posting their queries. I am pretty sure this can be done easily, so I was wondering if anyone is up to the task TIA... |

Anyone interested?
I just wanna know how to incorporate a dropdown list containing a list of forum ids, so that the post can be automatically posted upon submit to the chosen forum in the dropdown list... would greatly facilitate posting |
