how can i take the No-cache headers out of all templates and will this effect the forum?

Just use level 1 - any more doesn't offer much extra compression for the greater server load it uses.
The large animated avatars and sig's, as well as the banner, makes a big dent on your bandwidth usage. I wouldn't suggest turning off no-cache headers, as then folks would have to manually hard refresh (CTRL-F5) to get the latest posts in a thread. EDIT: To remove no-cache headers, there is an option in the admin panel, under vBulletin Options, to turn them on and off - but once again, I would recommend NOT doing that. |

so all i do is switch gzip on
i cant believe if its so useful, why vb have defaulted it to yes i neva knew what it was... let hope this works |

Someone is remote linking to the attachement "9.jpg" on post http://www.rapdis.com/forum/showthre...5000#post25000
Note it has been downloaded some 2200 times in the last couple of days. Check out Stop Users from Cross-linking Attachments by Guru for a solution to that. In the meantime, delete that attachment! BTW - Thanks to GZip your showthreads are now about 40% smaller than they were previously. |
