vB to vB import / how to import all crazy like? ;)
this might be a little nutty... but its something I'd like to do if possible.
any help would be greatly appreciated... My vbulletin was created from an Import of a good sized UBB board... Ever since I've been running this system on VBB things have acted really screwy... access masks, forum settings, etc... none seem to behave as I tell them. Boards I run that STARTED from VBB work fine. I would like to kind of start over. I want to create a new VBB installation, setup all the forums, user groups, etc BY HAND... Then I would like to import from a .SQL or some backup, JUST the thread information into each forum one by one, import all my users with DEFAULT settings. Is this feasible, is there a hack that does this? Couldn't find anything in the hack database. Let me know. |

Umm, you can maybe do a dump of the database, and copy and paste all the stuff you need and insert it via some mysql admin.
