PLEASE... Hack to Set User Group Thread Permissions
When new members register to my forum, I have them assigned to a group which I call "Trial Membership," until they have a certain number of posts, at which point, they automatically become "New Members."
I would like to set the group permissions so that the "Trial Membership" group can only post replies to existing threads, but NOT start their own new threads. PLEASE... If someone could post a hack to accomlish this, or post directions for me, I'd be very grateful. |

As it stands, the "Trial Members" are still able to create new threads. That's why I thought it might be a matter of a hack that is needed. Any other ideas? |

...Or maybe another way of restating my question is:
I set up a new Group (called Trial Members), with restricted access to create new threads. I would like to have all new members go into this "Trial Membership" group initially until they post 12 posts, at which point, they would be upgraded to the usual "Registered Members" Group and get into the typical "Junior Member, etc." ladder. |
