Is there a way?
to give a "Moderator" admin options in forums that he isn't listed as moderator of? What I am curious about it, I have someone who I want to be able to moderate my boards and have the ability to do so, but i'm not looking to have him listed as moderator for each forum.
is this possible? |

Just make him a supermod
If you dont want him having access to the Admin CP, just create a new group that : - is a super mod - doesnt have access to CP Then add him to that group |

but will his name show up on the boards as any kind of a moderator? I currently have him listed publicly as a moderator on one board, but I am interested in him having some admin features for all forums on my board without publicly being listed as a moderator for all forums.

No
It wont Due to the type of group a super-mod is, you dont need to assign them a forum for them to be able to moderate it. So no, they wont show up |
