Contents of several forums on non-VB page
I am wanting to create three to five forums in which a forum moderator can write posts that will show up on a non-VB page.
For example, the moderator of a Parenting Article forum would make a post in that forum which would also appear on the page parent.shtml. Likewise, in another forum, a different moderator would write an article and her post would appear on another page. People would be able to follow a link on the .shtml page to the forum, which would serve as an archive. (I want the forum set so that only the moderator could post in it.) Does something like this already exist. If so, please point me in that direction. (I have already installed several hacks, so I'm not a complete newbie, just a mostly newbie. LOL) If not, is there someone who is willing to write such a hack for me and how much will it cost. You can email me at webmaster@sybermoms.com. You can view my forums at http://forums.sybermoms.com. Thank you very much for your time. :classic: |

Do you mean :
If a moderator posts a news article, it appears on a .html page? Satan |

I'm not sure what your question is.
I am wanting to create a forum in which only a moderator can post and from which that post will appear on a non-VB page, such as parenting.shtml. (I am using server side includes, so all my non-VB pages have a .shtml extension.) Did that answer your question? :classic: |

Yeah, I've looked around under full releases. But the nearest thing I could find was Last XX Posts on Non-VB Page.
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...threadid=12324 It appears that hack can only be used from one forum and I'm needing to use several forums, which will output to different pages. Can this hack be modified to allow it to output from several forums to several specified pages? Or is there another hack that can do this? |

Why not run TWO or THREE copies of the hack with different names and configurations?

I thought about that, but I'm still at the hacking level where I need instructions to follow. I afraid I'd really screw things up if I tried this on my own. Then I'd have a bunch of jonesing Sybermoms breathing down my neck in IM and email. LOL
Can you give me a slightly more detailed overview of what I'd have to do to make more than one copy of this script work? Thank you! |

Ok. You would need to download the script and modify the last10config.php to point to the forum(s) you want to include on another page.
Then you would need to use calls on that page to display the last10.php Then you can run another copy of the script, perhaps called last10_2.php and you would also need a last10config_2.php also. Modify that config file to point to the OTHER forum(s) you want to pull information from... and so on, and so on... |
