I know that there are hack to PM / email on birthday's or number of posts and also reward schemes.

But i can seem to find anything that does thread starters.

What i am after doing is rewarding users that Start threads ONLY. (say 10 threads in one forum) I would want to send them a PM.

This can be achievable by making some modifications in my Greet Users X posts hack:

First apply the hack to only newthread.php (not to newreply.php). Then find the part:

Before that add:

PHP Code:

  $userthreaddb=$DB_site->query_first("SELECT count(*) as threadnum FROM thread WHERE forumid=X AND postuserid=$bbuserinfo[userid]");
  $userthreadnumber=$userthreaddb['threadnum']; 


(Replace X with your forumid)

Replace line:

PHP Code:

$greeteduserposts=$bbuserinfo[posts]+1; 


AS:

PHP Code:

$greeteduserposts= $userthreadnumber+1; 


And make text editing in the 3 templates of the hack. They greet Xth posts, correct them to greet Xth thread.

This should do the trick. Please notice: I have NOT tested this modification and writing it on the fly. I believe it will work but please apply to a test board before using it in your original board if you are intended to use it.
