Threadloom Newsletter lets you easily send your communities best content direct to subscribers' inboxes.

It uses machine learning to select your best content. This produces newsletters with higher click rates, and saves you time. You can send newsletters automatically, or create a review panel to curate them with Curation Assistant.

You can get started in minutes with automated curation. Send up to 25,000 emails per month for free, which includes everything you need for a successful newsletter: SendGrid email delivery, Kickbox email address verification, Curation Assistant, XenForo list synchronization, Acid-tested templates, and reporting. After your first 25,000 emails per month, pricing for additional emails is $0.20 per 1,000 emails.

Installation

(If you've already installed the Threadloom search plug-in, you can skip the 1st 3 steps below. Threadloom Newsletter uses the same plug-in as Threadloom Search, but you do not need to use Threadloom Search in order to use Threadloom Newsletter.)

• Register on the Threadloom website to get an access key.
• Download and install the plug-in.
• Wait for your forum to be indexed (~500K posts/hr).
• Update your DNS records.
• Upload your logo.

Q: How effective is email?​
A: Email is the most cost-effective user acquisition channel, next to organic search. On average, our customers realize CPCs of ~$0.0025. For many top communities, email is the second biggest driver of traffic to the site behind organic search.​

Hi @nw-fotografie - yes, you definitely can. You can restrict which members receive your Newsletter based on activity level, user group, domain name, and individual email address.

This is the "free" version we're seeing here on the org, for that it must be "free" so my primary question is, upon signing up for the service on your site does the free version grant the ability to send a certain number of mails for free? 100% Free?

Or is it still a required payment of $10 per month for upwards of 10k emails to be processed?

I need to know the answer to this in order to ensure the rules are being followed more so #16(c) on said page for this modification release. If there is no option to send certain set # for free we'll need to remove the modification OR you can append its settings and/or the type of account created to allow a low # of free mails to be sent and then this would be allowed.

Over the past 7 years, Threadloom has provided enterprise-grade Search and Newsletter services to over 2,000 forums. Threadloom Search was the first forum search engine with threaded results, image search, spell correction, and more, resulting in over 40% click-through rates. Threadloom Newsletter was the first service to automate content curation, sender verification, spam trap navigation, GDPR management, and more.

Since acquiring Threadloom last year, our parent company VerticalScope has fully supported our commitment to the forum community. During this time, our team has maintained Threadloom services while contributing to new efforts. Over time, however, it’s become clear that we will soon be unable to deliver the quality of service and innovation we initially committed to. As a result, the Threadloom team has made the difficult decision to retire our services.

On November 2, 2022, we will turn down all Threadloom services, including Search, Newsletter, List Builder, Insights, Primary Login, and Primary Explorer, and delete all customer data within 30 days of this date. We recommend that customers backup their site and database prior to uninstalling our add-ons, in order to mitigate any potential data loss.
