Default Similar Threads?
I am far from a beginner with vB, but something I have never really played around with was similar threads, and I'm facing some issues.

I have enabled the following options:
Automatic Similar Thread Search (Message Searching Options)
Show Similar Threads? (Thread Display Options (showthread))

I have rebuilt similar threads vie update counters.

I have adjusted Similar Threads Relevance Threshold from everything between 1 to 10

I have created new threads with random titles and made sure to use same words, all threads are tagged with similar tags, and contain almost identical content.

Yet nothing is displaying similar threads...

Example of my threads:
Test Thread one
Automatic Thingamajig
Test Thread Two
Automatic Thingy
Something Similar
Cat
Dog
Dog Eats Cat
Test Thread Three
Nothing Similar

I've even repaired, and optimized my tables numerous times.

Why arent similar threads showing up?!

Similar threads are completely inaccurate, I think they are random

Facts lol

I began to think I just didnt have enough content to generate similar threads, but after 20 threads I was like of i have rebuilt this stuff enough times and still nothing is populating. Even looking at the Database table forum>similar it was still null (blank) when I defiantly have similar content.

i had the same issue before. but some how it showup when i rebuilding similar threads & search index!

No problem for me (3.8.11).

Thread Display Options (showthread)/Show Similar Threads : enabled
Message Searching Options/Automatic Similar Thread Search : enabled

The rest by default.

heyyyyy what do you know, I run a script to generate a shit ton of threads, then one to generate a shit ton of posts. So now with 204 threads, and 49,805 posts I rebuilt and BAM similar was filled in the DB. *facepalm*

yet none of the following threads are similar (random off the top of head threads lol) *facepalm*
Monster dog eats cat
Monster cat eats dog
Monster Cat eats Monster Dog
Monster Dog eats Monster Cat
