Hey VB.ORG!
Stepped away from vB around the time v4 was starting to come out. Just curious if extensions are still stored in the database of if there is a more OO hook/event listener approach these days? May get back into writing some customizations if someone I'm working with gives me the green light. |

Currently the vB5 version works with extending classes... OOP based. Hooking in on pages and so now is done by writing widgets or a (smaller set than we used to in vB3/4) template hook. Template hooks are still in the DB tho'.... I like the new API structure. Have a look at my latest mods, download one and dive into the code. It might give a clear view of how things work now. Hope to see you more active again. Best, Joran |
