Forum hacked?
Hello everybody,
I need a little help... I have a forum (not big) www.forum.iplywamy.pl. I do not know, maybe it was hacked or something like that - for sure is spammed. - I cannot log in as Admin - I changed password for Admin account in database (generator for MD5) - but still got "Your name or password is wrong" I do not know what to do and cannot solve this problems. Could you give me any advice from what should I started to repair it? I am not guy from IT so, please be forgiving. Best regards, Marceli |

If you have backup of the database before the forums got hacked you can restore that .. but you will lose all the posts etc since that backup.
OR May be You can upload the tools.php to admincp .. but this will still require you to login. |

Can you reset the password through email?
Another option is to register a new user and then manually go into the database and change that new user to admin. You will also have to add the user id number to the config.php file. |
