File attachment issue. Help please
Ok, so I'm back using vbulletin for the first time in 7 years and I forgot what beast of a learning curve this thing is!
So, I have a fresh instal and I'm trying to upload files to a forum post and I keep getting an error message - attached below. I have checked all the admin, attachment and forum permissions and they seem fine. My maximum for a PDF file is at the default setting of 20,000 (20gig). My file is 157kbs! This is driving me nuts ... a sign of good times ahead! I'm slowly remembering how cumbersome this software was, lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance |

In the admin control panel, go to Attachments > Attachment Permissions > find the PDF filetype and edit the permissions of the usergroup by clicking on [Edit] > modify the Max File-size value and increase it to something like 250000 which is 244Kb, or 0.23Mb.
The value you see is in bytes, not in gigabytes. 20000 bytes = 19.53Kb 1Kb = 1024 bytes. |

Thanks, Brandon! I just noticed your signature... you may be hearing from me in the future.
I'm starting out with the forum but will be integrating it with WordPress at some stage. |
