Empty Subform Not Empty
The image provided shows a subforum indicating no threads, posts, etc. for one of my usergroups that has permissions to view and access. Another usergroup that has access can see the data. I've made no changes to the usergroup in question. I did make a change in the Forum Home Template, however, I reversed that and it had no effect. This problem did not exist until late today.
Any thoughts on this? Thank you! Ken To maybe clarify this a bit, the two usergroups mentioned above have the same permissions for the subforum. I don't expect resolution here, just some ideas on what to look for. Something changed. I had created a new subforum with multiple threads and created a new usergroup with posting permissions, though the new subforum threads can be viewed by all members. The subforum in question is not the new one I created, but an existing one. Hope this helps. Again, thanks. |

When you create a new usergroup, that new usergroups is "outside" forum permissions i.e. it has not been defined as to what the new usergroup can and cannot do in forums where custom permissions are set.
As a prime example; If you create a new usergroup BUT do not redo your forum permissions AND happen to have private Admin only forums, then yes if a user is placed into this new usergroup and no forum permissions have been updated - they can and will see your private staff "Admin" forum depending on permission settings. Usergroup permissions and Forum permissions work in conjunction with each other, they're not one in the same though. |

Thanks for the response. I've looked at the permissions, forum and usergroups, multiple times to determine if there is a conflict and found none. I will of course, look again - can't hurt. I have two usergroups that have the same access to the forum in question and only one of those groups is not able to see the the number of posts, etc. in the forum stats pictured. However, they can view the forum as usual. I know something caused this change. Like I stated, I'll look again at the forum/usergroup permissions. I've got nothing but time. I really do appreciate your responses!

Do you have it set to allow secondary usergroups to interact w/ primary permissions?
*Edit one of the usergroups, then scroll down to find "Usergroup Options" where it says: Quote:
Permissions can be confusing initially, usually though once people realize usergroup and forum permissions are different yet work together they grasp it fully - just be sure something simple is not making this occur. You may also want to check your plugins, see if you have any plugins that modify css based on usergroup or similar. Edit: Any mods by Valter (aka Cybernetic)? |

Thanks for the response superman. I'm still working on this off and on. The primary usergroup of the members concerned is set to yes regarding Member Groups. I've set up several secondary usergroups for members and this is the first time I've encountered this problem. I've been working on the assumption that the problem is a simple one and going over user permissions. Forum permissions are correct for the usergroup and secondary usergroup. Again, thank you for the response!
