How to ADD Creative Commons Option on Vbulletin
Hi everyone,
I have a question that I would like to ask.. I would like to ask how hard would it be to add a creative commons option to individual posts on vbulletin. I created a simple mockup to make it more easy to understand. This is for Vbulletin 4.x. I am planning on using some content in a few posts in my forum that utilize Creative commons share alike content under the license cc by-sa 3.0 with attribution required. How hard would it be to add a small functionality on the submit topic box, submit reply box, with a small check box right below the box that users can select? Next to this check box users would read something like: [ ] This user contribution is licensed under cc by-sa 3.0 with attribution required. Image: Now, when a user selects that box and it hits reply, a small piece of text would appear below his pst contenand it would read something like: User contribution licensed under cc by-sa 3.0 with attribution required. It would contain a hyperlink to the licence from CC and it would be inserted somewhere in the lower part of the post that cannot later on be edited or removed bye the author or admins unless the post is deleted. Of the hyperlink would appear in the footer. Image: Now, when this happens a note to the footer would automatically be added and it would simply display something like: Some user contributions are licensed under cc by-sa 3.0 with attribution required. This this sound too complicated? Any ideas on a mod that might help me do this? I spent time looking for anything like but could not find anything. |
