Transferring all image attaches into img
Hi, before saying anything, I know that many tables are related to the posts and attaches, so large modifications should be done in this case:
There are many images which have been attached and the registered user can see thumbnails and also click on the pic to see it in full size, but unregistered users (guests) can only see thumbnails. Image extensions I've defined are jpg jpeg png gif. So, there's no problem since here, yeah? But when the attachment is put into [img] tag, the guest can see that picture since it's a normal picture and not an attachment, like the picture below which is taken in the guest mode: I want all attachment images png gif jpeg jpg which are in posts, deliver an [img] tag in order to be shown for guests. I mean thumbnail is at the end of the post, and this img tag be included above this thubmnail. Since posts and attachments are a lot, editing personally is not available. And also after that, all images which are going to be attached, should be delivered an img tag for being shown to guests! Is there any product which can do this? What about the way of doing it? Any sql running in phpmyadmin? |

If they want to see the full sized images, all they have to do is register & log in. Why waste the bandwidth sending full size images to leeches who won't participate anyway?

I think you can change the permissions for Unregistered / Not Logged In users to allow them to view attachments under Forum Permissions in the Admin CP. That might solve your problem without doing a lot of messing around.

It seems to me that if they're computer literate enough to find your MB, they should be capable of registering if they want to see the full sized images. Then again, the ads that are displayed to guests but not to logged in users generate significant revenue. So maybe you have a point. |

If there were such options, I would have done that before. So, there's no such a thing

There is such an option. You can let unregistered user view and download attachments.
It is in usergroup manager. Select YES to Can see thumbnails and to download attachments. |

I know mate, but if Can Download is set to Yes, then guest can download other attachments! I mean there's no such option in ACP > Attachments > Permissions for guests

Maybe we're running different versions? I checked in our Admin CP to be sure my memory was correct before I made the suggestion. But I'm low man on the totem pole and won't make any changes without higher authorization, so I can't test it for you.
