Hi!
I have a WordPress website and a VB forum. I would like to do the following things: 1) Create a form on WP to register, and add the new registered user in VB4, creating a new entry in the user table. 2) Create another form in WP where logged users can see and modify their profile information available in VB. I already create a script to add a new user to the "user" table in the VB database, but when I try to login it doesn't recognize the new user. Is there another table to modify in order to create a valid user, or just the "user" table? About the second point, I would also like to know if profile infos are also stored in the "user" table, or if I need to update other tables? Thank you for your help! Nicolas. |

Check the file /includes/class_dm_user.php between lines 1150 and 2000.
This is the datamanager vBulletin uses for most interactions with users, including the creation and modification of users. Best is if you create an instance of that datamanager and create a new user that way instead of making your own INSERT query. Besides the user table, there's also a table called userfield (used for custom userfields that you can define in the AdminCP) and usertextfield (subscription folders, PM folders, ignorelist, signature, rank). |
