Memcached can run with PHP7 on vB4.2.x?
I heard that it is impossible to run Memcached or Zend Opcache for vB4 if we upgrade to PHP7
Is that correct? |

I am running Zend Opcache on PHP 7.0.9. Board is a test site running 4.2.5 A
Memcached is a no go. |

Are there any alternatives for memcached for vB4.2.x? |

As far as I can see, the only issue with memcached is actually getting it installed with php 7, I have seen a few sites with instructions. There are no alternatives I know of, I dont think APC can be used on php 7, or xcache. Just use the standard datastore, you really are not going to tell the difference.

Actually, it looks like APCu is supported on php 7, for key pair caching, its basically an emulation of APC.
