Phrase Manager and Date Format

Hello. I'm trying to remove the "Started by" and the ", 1 week ago" from the first boxed group.
And I'm trying to change the "1 week ago" in the second box group to say "7/1/2016 at 3:34pm" or "Thursday at 3:34pm" (if it was within the past week). I tried to go to the phrase manager but when I edit the code in the area I have boxed it deletes the "Started by" and the username but not the date, and when I change any of the other ones it doesn't change the date either. Is there something I'm doing wrong or missing? Im new to this by the way. I'd be grateful with help on either topic. Thanks

To change the date format, you just change it in the Date and Time options (don't know the exact option name off the top of my head) in AdminCP > Settings > Options and not in the Phrase Manager.
