When you create your pages for the articles, you enter the URL on the save page screen. You can edit the page, and when you click save, you can see the URL that you used. copy and paste this into the target URL. Attached is an example from my site.

From your news page, turn on the site editor and create a new page. for the url of the new page, use "articles/newpage" where newpage is whatever you want your URL to be. Then use that as the URL in the navigation editor. By using the articles/ and adding the new page then the articles tab which you called News on the navigation bar will be highlighted when you select your your sub page. if you take a look at our site http://www.sawdustzone.org, ours our set up as Articles at the top section with half a dozen sub pages for different categories.
You could also try changing the URL on the articles page to be news, then you would use news/newpage as your URL, But I've never done that and I honestly don't know if it will blow up or not. So take a backup of your database first. |
