How can I enabled threaded PM view?

When I get PMs from users, I frequently have to jump back to previous PM's they've sent to gather information about the overall conversation we are having.

Is there a config to enable a threaded or holistic view of past conversations with the same user in the PM reading panel?

Otherwise, I'd gladly pay for a plugin to achieve this.

Make sense?

I saw that.

"It needs improvement. I no longer support or develop this plugin. I will accept merge requests. Welcome to post issues."
Plus I'm not sure whether or not it is safe to use, as it's not posted anywhere on this/their website (why I asked for something similar).

Nonetheless, I'll give it a go on my test forum now...
