is the session variable (s) important?
I made my vBulletin search-engine friendly and I wanted to know if removing the s variable (which is LONG) would perturbate the functionning of my board?
That would make the urls so much shorter (in my case) and would clean things up too. Let me know if this is important or if I could just edit it out of the a tags in the templates... Thanks in advance |

Yes it's important.
If it weren't, it wouldn't be there. |

Without it, people who choose to not use cookies will be asked to login constantly on pretty much every page.

but wait, arent guests asked to login only if they want to post a thread or reply to one?
Im just coming from the thought that this "s" variable wasnt in vB 1.X (I think), and it was working fine. Thanks for your information |
