Can anyone please tell me what the following error means? I just uninstalled a hack tonight and now I am seing this at times.
Database error in vBulletin : Link-ID == false, connect failed mysql error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) mysql error number: 2002 Date: Saturday 01st of June 2002 11:44:45 AM Script: /forum/index.php Referer: Is this just a freak thing or am I going to have problems now? |

Thanks, Scott, I wasn't sure if it was anything to worry about. Just for curiosity's sake, what do you mean "low on connections"? I read the link you supplied and I didn't see that anywhere.

Its the Too many connections bit half way down the post.
You need to increase the max number of connections in my.cnf |
