Cant login to forum, but can login to admincp

I cant login to my forum. the top right login link drops down to allow me to enter login info, but when i click login, the drop down goes back up and says login or register. I can however login to the admincp no problems. Tried several times using correct login info.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you tried clearing out all your cookies

I cleared out all my browser history including cookies and same issue happening.

check your httacces from your ftp server or what you have there

It was working fine and all of a sudden it stopped working. I just tried to login again from the forum side and clicked login and the drop down login form showed. I entered correct login info and it now showed in the small drop down login panel the following:

A System Error has occured.

The software is experiencing a systems error.

You should attempt to repeat your last action. If this error occurs again, please contact the site administrator.
