Subject Divisions inside Forums.
Ok, trying to think of ways to space out a confusing forum without sub-forums.
So - wondering if there is a way to do this. You click to go into Forum 1.. and it shows up this. Main Forum > Forum 1 ------------------------------------------------------ Category 1 ------------------------------------------------------ top 5 threads from this category top 5 threads from this category top 5 threads from this category top 5 threads from this category top 5 threads from this category ------------------------------------------------------ Category 2 ------------------------------------------------------ top 5 threads from this category top 5 threads from this category top 5 threads from this category top 5 threads from this category top 5 threads from this category etc. All of this is inside the Forum. And if I click on the Category 1 text, it then goes through to all the posts in that category.... make sense? Thought this might be handy for some people. Cheers. and thanks in advance. |

Add a field to your thread table for category.
Put a dropdown box in the new thread form, that allows the user to set the category. Put a column on the forum display page showing the category, and allow users to sort on it. Amy |
