Upgrading to 2.2.6 question
Hi. I'm running 2.2.5 and have installed several hacks. Will upgrading to 2.2.6 delete all those hacks? I know that sounds pretty stupid because I'm sure I know the answer. But I'm just curious; any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

if you just copie all the files up to the server ad run the upgrade, all hacks are gone.
you have to include the hacks in the new files first, and then upload and upgrade it |

And what's the best way to do this? I've read of some app that allows you to compare and merge your hacks. Can someone give me the lowdown on this?

i think beyond compare is the best program to do that
another very good program is araxis merge. and both are selfexplaining i think |

Don't forget about templates!
This way you'll lose any enhancement applied to standard (default) templates in the 2.2.6 upgrade. You should take care of them, too. Bye |
