Views count has stopped working.
4.2.2 Full suite.
I have all the albums shut off to unregistered / not logged in. It was due to the bots and others just coming by to admire the albums. Threads were not being looked at. They would come in, scope out the albums and leave. However... Prior to that what threads were being looked at no longer registered the views. I have one thread, what was the most looked at, stop registering the views. That was at 1908. Other threads stopped along the high 200's. I'm posting new content and have links to it in my sig in other forums. I did go in the ACP and made sure post counts in all forums count. Shut off album access, and sent out a new sitemap. I'm missing something but I can't put my finger on it. Any ideas? |

What is set for AdminCP > Settings > Options > Server Settings > Update Thread Views Immediately ?
And, if you look at your database, is there anything in the threadviews table? Have you gotten any database errors regarding a crashed table (like the threadviews table)? Have you got any of the Scheduled Tasks disabled? |

1> Both thread and attachment views were set to no.
2> Not familiar with how to do that. 3> Last DB error I got was about a picture over 4 months ago. Easy fix, deleted picture. 4> Both were disabled. They are now enabled and were run right away. The description in the server settings spooked me about being server intensive. I had disabled the hourly updates also. Now it's working and obviously the DB has been storing all of the views. The one thread that stopped at 1908 is now 7976. Turns out it was self induced. Thanks for your help. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year |
