Default Need to revert Activity stream to OEM

Yes, I have fubared the activity stream.

Some background,...

I use a child template to do any and all template edits. The OEM templates are all oem, and none are edited.

I have set the default template for the forum to the oem template, and the fubar still exists.

I attempted to experiment with this mod, and after install realized it was a mistake and uninstalled it. That is when the fubar occured.
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=264053

I have all the files for that mod deleted, and of course uninstalled the mod first.

My need for help is, how can I get my activity stream back to oem.

This has been very frustrating to say the least.

When you go to your templates and select a template, there should be a "revert" button.
Have you tried that?

As suggested, revert only works if you have edited the template...

... (checks again)

edit to add,... checked oem default template. Cant revert. It is unedited.

"Activity stream is fubar" is kind of hard to troubleshoot. vb version number? Link?
By looking at the xml file for the product, I can see the activitystream.css is possibly overwritten. It has like 5 blocks of code where the original in 4.2.2 has many blocks of css in it. I'd check that template and see if it has been overwritten.

Back after delay,...

Just compared my css to another vb site I have, to compare the activitystream.css entries.

Guess what, on my problem website, the activitystream.css template is completely missing!!

All I did was uninstall the mod, and it looks like the uninstall process for some reason has effectively deleted the entire file, and on all subsequent child theme templates too.

OK, now I just have to figure out how to reinstall that particular activitystream.css template into my oem template.

THANK YOU Replicant! I was sure I checked everything. But I guess it is hard to check what no longer exists lol.

edit to add. vb version 4.2.0 p3
http://www.ignorancedenied.com/activity.php

--------------- Added [DATE]1445388813[/DATE] at [TIME]1445388813[/TIME] ---------------

Soooo,...

Was unable to figure out how to bring back the oem activitystream.css.

As a quick solution, I added the template via admincp, inserted the correct code extracted from another site, and viola, fixed.

My only residual problem is now the activitystream.css template shows up as red and custom in my default oem template list. It is revertable to nothing now, or to explain, if it ever is reverted, the whole activitystream.css file disappears.

I can run it like that, but is anyone aware of how to make that an unrevertable template in my oem style just like it was after initial install?

Thank you everyone for your help.

Mark

You can try importing vbulletin-style.xml from your install directory in the archive for your version. I recommend doing a db backup before running the script just in case something goes awry. If this doesn't work for you, then it can probably be done with an SQL query fairly easily. PM me if you need the query.
