Default Need some urgent suggestion

Hello all,

I have a new domain and wanted to move the files from the old domain to the new one. I can do this process.

But I have lots of junk in the root and folders too because of the mods and some other scripts.

Now i want to upload only few directories and can install the vb4.2.3 to make my site free from the junk.

When I googled i found this method for a particular issue on another site.

PHP Code:
You're unlikely to have edited any core files (as extensions cover edits now) so you don't really need to use the update method.

Try
the full file replacement.

Backup up your board's files and database
Delete all of your phpBB 3.1.x files EXCEPT for the following:
The config.php file
The /images/ directory
The /files/ directory
The /store/ directory
The /ext/ directory
Upload the contents of the phpBB3 directory from the uncompressed 3.1.x Full Package (EXCEPT for config.php) into your forum'
s directory (Noteyou don't want to overwrite your original config.php file)
Browse to www.example.com/install/database_update.php
Delete the /install/ directory

Likewise is there any method for me to install my site without junk? So fresh files with old database!

thanks

i strongly recommend to make a clean deinstallation of all the addons you don't need anymore.

(have you thought about the junk that remains in your db even without the files?)

but if you really want to go that way, just upload the fresh vb files, import your database dump, and reupp everything that's missing like attachments, avatars, style graphics and so on, you will see what is needed

but better don't do it like that

thanks for your reply @ArcadeSyndicate. But there are lots of files had been uploaded. I tried to remove those files from the directories and faced some errors. Then I restored them to the same place.

So to get rid of this situation I am looking for the above procedure.

Thanks again for your reply.
