Invalid User specified

I have one member who's profile cannot be viewed. We are getting the error: Invalid User specified when trying to do so.

I can view their latest posts and bring up their profile in the admin panel.

I have repaired and optimized.

I have tried to fix broken user profiles.

I have not added or changed the forum in any way.

Nothing is working. Any ideas or suggestions?

As an update if I change the username to anything else everything is fine.
If I change the username back to it's original name it's broken again.

Thoughts please?
