I went into sidebar and there are some things picked to show, but the forum is too wide or something? have upgraded a few more times. I am now running vBulletin 4.2.2 Patch Level 4) Please note that this is the vB4 Default Style Site is www.hamtraders.com Can someone please tell me what an idiot I am and what I did? Thank you --------------- Added [DATE]1425710953[/DATE] at [TIME]1425710953[/TIME] --------------- anyone able to help? |

Can't see your site without registering. But if you came from vb3.8 then I guess the sidebar was a mod, or part of a custom style? Then you'd have to ask whoever created that. We don't provide support mods in the main forums.

OK, sorry, it sounded like you had a sidebar on vb3 that stopped working when you upgraded. I got your PM and I'll take a look if I get a chance, but I'm not really sure if I'll be able to tell from that, I just thought I'd let you know that we couldn't see it.

Try AdminCP > Settings > Options > Forum Sidebar and Block Options
^ That is the area where you enable/disable the sidebar and set it to left or right display (read the bottom setting, leave it ALONE i.e. do not disable cache). Now of it does not show after that... then do as Lynne noted above and check your blocks, should be one if not more listed - if not then create some new sidebar blocks and afterwords reload the block types then clear block cache and they will show. *If you recently were adding in plugins OR CSS code to any templates, did you perhaps add in code that hides the sidebar OR did you collapse the sidebar and simply need to click the button w/ the arrows to make it show again? See Attached. |

It sounds like you haven't given your administrator permission to modify them. Go to Usergroups > Administrator Permission and give yourself permission to edit the forum blocks.
