We are a million post board so this one is a rarity. I don't know if it's my software problem or if the user did something weird while posting. The first two posts of his while starting a thread were presented this way and then it went back to normal later in the thread and showed normal thumbnails with links to enlargements. I also note that the links while in this mode do not load.

Have you asked the OP to delete those attachments and try uploading them again in the post? It could just be that it got screwed up somewhere.

His pictures amy be larger than the allowable limit for images set in admin cp.

It appears you have some kind of postbit modification that affects images. And it's not playing nice with attachments.
