Ok Nick I bought that shop version a long time ago from Micheal's shop when it was up and I've used it before so I'm well aware of how much work goes into making it work.

Well I most likely would not be adding anything to it, all I need is the ability to allow downloads of the skin that they bought after they put in their url. I won't be making any other changes that I know of and I can code stuff into it with no problem. I ran it before HEAVILY modified so I just wanted to make sure that I can update vb.

If you were able to modify the huge old version be sure that it will be very easy to modify my version as it's solid and small. Yes, you'll be able, as I'll update my own version. An additional note. I got permission to release as stand-alone addon, so I need 1-2 days more to make some changes especially changing the name. |

@HM666
Are you operating a local or international shop? From what I read before, most probably you're operating an international one. Be aware that from 1st January 2015, according to new EU resolutions for electronics sales you must collect EU VAT from clients living in EU countries (EU zone) without a valid VAT id. --------------- Added [DATE]1419535059[/DATE] at [TIME]1419535059[/TIME] --------------- http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs....htm#new_rules Please read it carefuly. Doesn't matters if you're a US (or any non EU country) business. If you deal with EU clients you must collect EU VAT. --------------- Added [DATE]1419535155[/DATE] at [TIME]1419535155[/TIME] --------------- And here is a rule modification from an Australian marketplace selling scripts/templates https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en...EU-VAT-Changes |

Er ok. It says that I'm operating a business outside a EU country I do not have to charge it. I'm in the US, European laws I'm pretty sure do not dictate here just as US law does not dictate there with the exception of copyrights. In this case there are no copyright infringements because I make the styles from scratch. Seems to me that if someone from an EU country bought something it would be up to them to pay a VAT tax.

No, it's for all but really don't know how it should works. My English is not in a high level to understand such rules. But I read it in Greek. Also in the 2nd example the business is an Australian company. So, non EU.
Also in the official site it has an example: NON-EU BUSINESSES supplying to: --------------------------- 1. Business in the EU No VAT charged. Customer must account for the tax (reverse-charge mechanism). 2. Consumer in the EU (telecoms, broadcasting or electronic services) Must charge VAT in the EU country where the customer belongs. Example A person living in Barcelona pays a US company for access to American TV channels. The US company must charge the customer Spanish VAT. MOSS available So, (always in simple English), if I order/buy something from you, and because I'm locating in an EURO zone country you must collect from me 23% EU-EL Vat (the VAT in use in Greece). --------------- Added [DATE]1419540313[/DATE] at [TIME]1419540313[/TIME] --------------- In short terms this is what changes: 1.- Till Dec 31st, 2014 is: VAT payable in ("place of supply") ........so as your Shop is locating in USA, you don't have any obligation to collect VAT. 2.- From Jan 1st, 2015 should be: always be taxed in the country where the customer belongs ........in this case has no sense if your Shop is in USA, or in Canada or anywhere (non EU), but where the CLIENT is locating. |
