Default Zealot Gaming - And Custom Stuff

Hello everyone, welcome to your introduction to Zealot Gaming, a community created over three years ago which now boasts over 900 members, (I hope to hit 1000 soon!). At Zealot Gaming, a community made for gamers, by gamers, we strive to provide a fun environment where members grow through experience in teamwork, skill, and networking. While many clans are really "looking for group" organizations, we want to stress that we are more than just a group of people who queue up together in games. While we understand that having people to queue with is a benefit, it should not be the only reason someone wants to join our great community. We look for dedicated and motivated gamers who want more out of their games.

We currently use a style done by PureVB, with some editing here and there of course. Most people seem to like it. It matches our website decently. Would love feedback on it. Maybe you've seen a theme out there that might work better or have some other advice. I'm not really super knowledgeable about the vBulletin software, but i have learned a lot from here as well as TAZ to do some nice things for my members. I hope you enjoy!

Looks really nice. I notice your Teamspeak is down. Feel free to use mine until you get yours back up if you wish.

You should be able to connect from this link.

Forum looks attractive but you need to make font and text color easy to read on some parts.

Hey guys. I didn't want to start a new thread, but I did want to showcase what I have been working on for my community (many of you have given me advice or pointed me in the right direction. I'll try to explain each and show some images/code. Feel free to offer suggestions for how I can improve anything you see here.

Roster Management

My community/clan supports multiple games and brings in new games through a development process. We have our members let us know what their main-game is to give us a rough count of people active in that game. I had created the roster awhile back, but it was all hard-coded meaning every time a new game was added or changed its status I would have to manually edit the code. Needless to say I tried to train some of my admins but I quickly learned they would only break things. So I had to design an easier way to help them manage it. So I created a back-end roster manager after some time. I will link the roster and code as well as an image of the back-end. We are currently posting the code via a page-creator mod, but I'd like to move it to its own page and eventually create a plugin for community use. ^.^

Roster: http://www.zealotgaming.com/forum/pages.php?pageid=15

Roster Codes: http://pastebin.com/wAd52jsE

I will post more as I complete them!

Hey guys. I didn't think this belonged anywhere else so I figured I'd ask here. In my community we have a small media team who write reviews of games, game tech, etc. and also design great graphics. We don't use the vB CMS for our site because I can't for the life of me get it to look halfway nice, probably because I am a scrub or because our theme isn't really designed with that in mind., so our main site uses Joomla and is mostly there to look pretty and keep information for new members. I want to showcase our team's work more than just in a forum by itself. I was wondering if anyone had ideas or examples of others sites doing this sort of thing? Thanks in advance for any opinions.

I've worked with jFusion before. It was really messy for me. I think we're migrating to vbCMS

If you plan on just using vBulletin you do not have to use the CMS if you do not want to and if it seems too difficult to work with. There is an article mod that you could install instead and allow your team to make articles with it. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...hlight=article
