[Help :3] vbCMS - Article Alternate Source

Hello all, thanks in advance for taking the time to look at my post.

I would like to know if there is a plugin or modification which allows me to show other items as articles in the preview section on vbCMS.

So for examples, theres a reviews system installed, and I want it to show latest reviews, and articles on the front page.

I suppose you could create a PHP Widget and put in the code to query the database to get the latest reviews.

Would I be able to get it to display in between the articles like its part of the system?

(I dislike how over complex the vbCMS is) :P

Not easily. You would have to rewrite quite a bit of the files to get it to do that.

Thanks for your help Lynne, last question, where do I start? do you have a hany link that confirms how the CMS gets the data to process it as an article, I had a look into content types but not how to go about adding a new one..

You can take a look at the code in /packages/vbcms . But, like I said, it would be quite an undertaking to change that. I may be easier to just add a PHP module and put your own code in there.
