Full thread first post in Recent Threads CMS widget

I tried to make a sort of news page based on vbCMS. But widget shows only "thread.previewtext" - no images, not even full post.
Any chance to make news-page similar as in vba cmps? With full-weight posts and bb-tags parsing?
