Special characters
I hope it's allowed to post my quesion here also. I already posted it in the forum for the mod, but I can't seem to find anyone in there with the same problem, so probably it's not the mod, but something in my settings?
I'm trying to use the VSa - ChatBox (AJAX) and it all works great, characters like é become a question mark in the chat. I can't seem to fix this. In Diagnostics it says there is no problem with Ajax unicode: mod_security AJAX Unicode Issue No I try to use it on a dutch forum with iso 8859-1. This mod is the only one with a special characters issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated |

It actually is a modification issue, but more specifically, it's due to your database collation. See what the collation is of your default vbulletin tables AND fields and then see what the collation of the chatbox tables AND fields are (not just the tables, you can set the field collation also). It could also be the way the modification handles the data it is getting from the database. But, either way, it is something to do with the modification.
