Default What mod converts URLs to their text description automatically?
I`ve seen that on NBR forums, if I post a link, the description of the link is automatically added rather then the actual link URL which is pretty neat
Example:

http://forum.notebookreview.com/soli...ml#post9731525

how can I do this on my forum which is on vB 3.8.8?

They are using a mod that is now dead, it's called vbSEO and it was obtained via purchase from a 3rd party site.
