Hack request! " skip this page" in email users.

Because my server isnt the fastest in the world, the email users script sometimes hangs,due to this, you have to start all over again when you want to email users, people get VERY anoyed at getting multiple emails about the same thing, would it be possible for someone to maybe make a hack that would give you the option to skip the page in email users ?? this would help a lot of people for sure,something like skip page 1 do the next page, so you could ALWAYS continue from where you left off, you think this would be a good idea ? got to be someone that can do this i hope

cdrforum, just lower the "messages to send at once" settings.. (to eg. 50 or 100) Then the script shouldnt hang..

LOL when iam emailing 13000 users this would take me to long

As far as I know even if you lower the setting you dont email them manually. Vbulletin is still supposed to send emails automatically, but just in smaller groups.

So I dont think it will take you long..

Your problem is that: Every PHP file has a maximum execution time (timeout) and if you try to send emails to 13000 people in one attempt regardless of how fastt your server is you'll get timout error. (Unless you increased the timeout time inside set_time_limit command for that file)

This is why vbulletin has this setting.

If I were you I would give it a try and after lowering it to 100 or 200, send a "test" email in debugging mode. I believe it will work..

No this wont work, thats the whole point of the hack, no matter how many you send at once, you must still do each page by hand. only when 1 page is finished will it allowy you to do the next page.
