Does anyone have some good tips on this?
I get quite a few sign ups, many very promising, but they fade away after a month of so. I understand it is part of my forum's growing pains (we're still reasonably young) and it 'just happens', but I'm sure there are things we could be doing to prevent it.
Good, useful and unique content and a sense of community. Once people make friends they are less likely to leave.
Many people, most probably just read forums and never even register so just getting people to register and post for a bit is a major part of the battle.
