I suppose that you could use mysql commands (through phpmyadmin for example) to save the user table by exporting it or copying it to a different table name, then reimporting it or copying it back when you're done. It seems like it should work but I can't guarantee it. It's kind of dangerous of course so you'd at least want to have an backup. (and you'd want the forum closed while you're doing it).
It's probably possible to export and reimport just the post count column, but I can't tell you how to do that. |
