Unwanted features are easy to remove, bugs maybe not. Other than that what was wrong with it? I have not tried it or even reviewed it, but it seems like your a match or at least some code to start width. You really cannot expect much more from FREE modifications. Usually, you should expect to "roll up your sleeves a little" with the code.
I have never purchased code that I did not have to modify to fit my expectations. Since vBulletin uses PHP a scripting language, having access to the source code is the benefit. Commenting out lines of code so that you disable features you can learn in an afternoon. Anyway, I hope i am helping. Have fun!
