So why don't we use skype instead of Teamspeak since as you said, it basically does the same work?
And talk to someone one by one took a hell lot of time. Since forum is a place for volunteer to support and share their "already limited free time" to help others. Talking is clearly not a prior option.
and for paid services, it's customer's right and developer's offer to go which way they prefer to complete their project.
A note: you are mistaking a forum with a group of gamers, who are spending their time, playing and talking with each others via some communication tools.
The tone of your comment sounds as if I've hit a nerve with you? I wasn't asking anyone to do anything. I was merely offering another resource for the members here. It wasn't going to cost anyone anything except me.

I started out building forums for gaming clans in 2002. In 2008 I made the move to vbulletin. Over a time span of 12 years I've used every type of v.o.i.p. or similar program to communicate with both gamers and representative's of clans to both help them build their forum or, work with them one on sometimes 1, 2, 3, or 4 to find out exactly what they wanted and how they wanted it. I did this on Ventrilo, Teamspeak, Mumble, x-fire, and yes, even Skype. I pretty much think that qualifies me to make a rather good argument for using Teamspeak over any of the others I've listed.
