How to connect VB 4.x to a custom site through single login?
Hi! While, I'd like to use Discourse for this feature, Discourse i found it lacking many features that i need. Also while i am waiting for VB 5.x to become better and their API to become well documented, I can't wait a year or more on it to reach that complete, stable, feature rich level.
So my choice is using what i am familiar with VB 4.x. How can i allow my users to register and login through single login. So that one account can login to my forum as well as my custom homepage ex http://www.nihonomaru.com/ , http://www.nihonomaru.com/login , http://www.nihonomaru.com/register If you look at Discourse, it makes it easy through its API to login through single sign on https://meta.discourse.org/t/officia...iscourse/13045 But with VB 4.x it is complicated, we do have a great web developer however, what does he need to know or explore in order to connect the forum and the homepage through a single sign on ? In order for whoever register on the forum to be able to login on the homepage as well and doesn't need to register a new account and vise versa. |
