Improve Reported Posts

Right now, the standard VB4 reported posts just show the person who reported in the title. I'm wondering if the reported posts can't be improved so that

1) the title of the post shows the name of the offender, not the reporter. (And maybe the title of the post, too!)
2) the mouseover text shows the text of the post.

#2 doesn't happen because the text of the reported post is now in quotes.

It would make life easier for my mods if they could quickly scan for duplicate reports, and so on.

Sorry for the late reply, but if you haven't figured this out yet, I think you can do it by changing the phrases named reportpost_newthread (one is the post title, another is the body).

Actually, I'm pretty sure you will need to modify the report.php code directly. The phrase only takes certain input and the input is defined in the script. I modified the report titles on my site and had to edit the code directly.

Well, that would be true if you wanted to add something that wasn't there already or you needed to modify some of the information, but I think the two things mentioned in the first post can be done by editing the phrases. I think you can use $reportinfo[pusername] and $reportinfo[threadtitle] in the subject phrase, and you could remove the quote tags from around $reportinfo[pagetext] in the body phrase.

Ah, you could be right. I wanted to put in the forumname because I basically have audio and video mods and I wanted an easy way to see which forum the report came from.

thanks for the suggestions. I was able to change phrases to make the reported posts more useful. Seems redundant to have the "Post reported by: USERNAME" with the poster's username right underneath it...

Anyway. Phrases did the job for me. Thanks again.

Hi, one might add default options?

It would be much easier for users to dial only one casille optionally can comment.
