MaxCDN plug-in

As you know at this time to use CDN you have to edit templates and variables manually. Well when you get into this kind of edits you really dont want to upgrade and this leaves you vulnerable. A MaxCDN plug-in would be very valuable to those of us who have busy forums.

There was a plugin created for vbseo but never a standalone plug-in.

This kind of smug arrogant response is exactly why people are dumping vbulletin for xenforo. You really should work on your people skills.

If you cannot be bothered to updates your templates, and that is the sole reason you're not upgrading. That is a very bad choice.

This site, is a community help forum. I am representing only myself, and yes, sometimes I will come off as cold, and harsh to the realities of the world and the internet at large.

What does the plugin solve, that you cannot do on your own?
Are you going to code it yourself, or are you ask others to donate their free time to your needs?
Does the effort in coding a plugin to do this, reduce the total number of hours spent doing upgrades for you in the future?

If you took the time to document, and log your changes the first time around, updating should be a trivial thing.

Though, I'm pretty sure vBoptimize will do this for you.

CDN allows you to spread content such as images all over the world on CDN servers. This allows for faster load times for people especially overseas. I understand the confusion, this setup is not needed by everyone just those with a very busy forum. As you know when you have millions of posts you are not playing the same game as a out of the box install.

I have and do assist very large vBulletin sites, both inside of my regular job, and outside of it as well.

It doesn't. It would just make the process easier especially for those that have no edit skills but know how to install an add-on.

vBoptimize has a CDN option built into it. It also does some nice things if you use xcache/APC/memcached
